Lobsters can live very long, between 80 and 100 years.
Orange, green, calico, white or even blue lobsters are very rare. Fishermen can find only one among several million lobsters caught.

The male mates with the female after the female has molted (when its shell is soft).
Each females lay between 5,000 and 100,000 eggs.
A lobster’s weight increases by 40% and its size grow by 15% every time it molts.
A lobster must be 5 to 8 years old to reach commercial size.
Cut or broken lobster claws grow back when the shell changes.
Lobster antennae are used to find food and detect enemies.
