biologist for a day

AquariumNB_icon_final-25.png

With hundreds of kilometers of coastline, New Brunswick is home to a wide variety of marine life. Children aged 7 to 12 can join scientists at an aquarium research facility for the day to learn about the sea's biology, and to see, smell and even touch sea creatures. Each child will take water samples and transport fragile sea life to specially prepared homes. Part of the day-long aqua adventure includes combing the nearby beach for samples, so bring your rubber boots! Experienced instructors will guide children through information sharing and hands-on learning so they understand sea creatures as they are: spiny, slippery, salty… even tasty! At the end of the day they get their Biologist Training Program certificate which makes a wonderful souvenir, but the healthy (and delicious!) lunch is also pretty cool.
